That was the original title for my latest My Weekly novel, out in British supermarkets 11/4/24. It’s set in France, mainly in a town in Normandy called Champsecret. Anne and I stayed there for our first three months in France way back in 2007. We stayed there again in 2021 and that’s when I was inspired to write this novel about this sleepy town.
The word means ‘Secret Field’. My British heroine returns there with loads of questions about her past as much of it is a blur. As she remembers, she is reborn as the Rainbow Girl she once was. She’s helped by the love of a French gendarme and his family. Sadly her past comes back to revisit her, replete with scheming villains and stolen goods. Can she solve the mysteries of her teenage years in time to stop the villains succeeding?
It’s my 16th My Weekly Pocket Novel and my fourth publication this year.
Here is the link to Australia’s Readly but it’s available on Readly in Britain too. Please note Midnight’s Gold (another of my novels) is on the page too.
